Killens Pond State Park Announces Birthday Parties at the Water Park

FELTON, Del. – Killens Pond Water Park will begin accepting reservations for summer birthday parties after May 1, 2009. Parties may be scheduled from June 15 through August 23. Available times are Monday through Thursday, noon to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Party fees include admission to the Water Park, lunch and an area reserved for the party complete with tables, umbrellas and chairs. Each child will also receive a free pass for one future visit to the Water Park. The pre-selected lunch includes hamburger or hot dog, chips and soda or water.

Party prices range from $175 for 10 or fewer guests to $375 for as many as 50 guests. Numbers include children and adults. Party planners may bring a birthday cake that will remain in the party area. Decorations, with the exception of helium balloons, are permitted with prior approval.

A customized nature program for an additional fee will round out the party experience. Parties may be scheduled by calling 302-284-4526.

Killens Pond Water Park, which is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, offers interactive water fun for all ages. Families will enjoy the two exciting 27-foot water slides and the bubblers and jets in the toddlers’ pool. The Swim Shop carries all swimming necessities. Killens Pond is located 13 miles south of Dover, and one mile from Route 13 or eight miles from Route 113. The park entrance is on Killens Pond Road.
