Killens Pond State Park Taking Registrations for Spring Break Camp
FELTON, Del. - With summer just around the corner, the staff at Killens Pond State Park reminds parents to register their children for the exciting Spring Break Camp offered at the park. The camp, which is held from April 13 through April 17, is designed for children 7 to 11.
Activities include fishing and kayaking in the pond, crafts and indoor nature activities, outdoor survival skills, and tracking and archery. Children will meet new friends and get outdoors to learn all about the natural world around them.
To ensure the maximum enjoyment for every child, camps sizes are small, so early registration is strongly encouraged. Information and registration packets are available at www.destateparks.com, or by calling the nature center at 302-284-4299.
Killens Pond State Park is centrally located in the heart of Kent County. The park’s centerpiece is the 66-acre millpond which features boating and fishing. Its location makes Killens Pond makes a perfect home base for exploring the First State. The Killens Pond Water Park offers resort entertainment in a serene, natural setting. Open year-round, the park’s campground and cozy cabins are popular retreats no matter what the season.
