Killens Pond State Park accepting registrations for winter mini-camps
FELTON (Dec. 13) – Killens Pond State Park has the solution for parents who don’t know how to keep children aged 7 to 12 occupied on school holidays. Winter mini-camps are scheduled for Dec. 27 – 30, Jan. 17 and Feb. 21 to coincide with winter school holidays.
Camps are held from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.at the Killens Pond Nature Center. Reservations are required and may be made by calling 302-284-4299.
Winter Fun Day Camp
Dec. 27-30
$35 per day, or all four days for $120
Children will explore the wonders of winter, create awesome crafts and gooey science experiments, and play fun games.
Survivor Camp
Jan. 17
$35
Campers will learn how the Inuit survived the harsh winter weather, how to build a shelter and how to make a fire.
Wild About Animals Camp
Feb. 21
$35
The park naturalist will teach children about the animals of the park. Campers will help take care of the Nature Center’s reptile and amphibian collection.
