Killens Pond State Park taking registrations for Counselor in Training Camp
FELTON – The staff at Killens Pond State Park is offering an exciting Counselor in Training Camp Aug. 10 - 14 for teens looking for something fun to do before they go back to school.
Teens between the ages of 13 and 16 will learn how camp counselors do what they do on a day-to-day basis, as well as the basics of boating, first aid, animal ecology, environmental education and more. At the end of the week, CITs (Counselors in Training) will present a lesson on an environmental topic of their choice.
To ensure the maximum enjoyment for every camper, enrollment is limited - so early registration is strongly encouraged. Information and registration packets are available at www.destateparks.com, or call the nature center at 302-284-4299.
