Learn Everything You Need to Know to Conduct Your Own Paranormal Investigation

The staff at Fort Delaware State Park announces Paranormal Institute, on Friday, Aug. 13 at 7 p.m. at the park on Pea Patch Island in the Delaware River.  Participants will attend classroom sessions on how to conduct a paranormal investigation, collect evidence, use specialized equipment and review findings.  At the conclusion of the classroom sessions, participants will have the opportunity to put their new-found skills to work during an actual investigation.  Attendees should bring whatever ghost hunting equipment and flashlights they may have.

The program is open to visitors age 13 and older. Access to Fort Delaware is by ferry only.  The ferry departs Delaware City promptly at 7 p.m., and returns at 11 p.m. Participants should arrive 30 minutes prior to boat departure for check-in at the Fort Delaware dock, 45 Clinton Street in Delaware City, and are cautioned to dress for the weather as this is a “rain or shine” program. Open-toe shoes are not allowed; bug spray is recommended.

Reservations may be made at www.destateparks.com or by calling 1-800-987-2757.  More information about this and other paranormal programs at Fort Delaware is available by calling the park office at 302-834-7941.
