Lewes man arrested for crabbing violations
DNREC Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Agents on July 27 arrested a Lewes man for crabbing violations.
George M. Gustis, age 31, of 33935 Lotus Lane, Lewes, was arrested and charged with one count each of commercial crabbing without a license, crabbing in a non-commercial area, over the limit of blue crabs and possession of undersize crabs. He was taken to Justice of the Peace Court No. 3 in Georgetown, pled guilty to all charges and was released.
“Fish and Wildlife Enforcement would like to encourage all citizens to report suspected incidences of crabbing without a commercial license,” said Enforcement spokesman Sgt. Gregory Rhodes.
