Limited space available for new “Pea Patch Paranormal Adventure” at Fort Delaware State Park
Delaware City, Del. – A few spaces are still available for the DNREC Division of Parks and Recreation’s new series of recreational paranormal investigations at Fort Delaware State Park on weekends in October. Tickets for Saturday nights in October are in particularly short supply. The three-hour investigations (including boat travel time to the fort) are available by reservation only. The cost per participant is $40. Dates are: October 2 and 3; 9 and 10; 16 and 17; 23 and 24.
In partnership with Delaware Ghost Hunters, this program offers small groups of participants the chance to see and experience a fun and spooky paranormal investigation conducted by Delaware Ghost Hunters, Inc. Areas of the Pea Patch Island Civil War fortress to be investigated may include the fort’s prisoner barracks, mess hall, officer’s kitchen, ordnance room area and the west end of the Endicott section.
Each evening program will begin with an introduction, after which groups of 15 will be led by a park interpreter to the various “haunted” sites. At each area, an investigator will use EMFs, data recorders and temperature sensors to investigate the site. Participants are also welcome to bring portable recording equipment of their own (as long as it is easy to transport). Light refreshments, t-shirts and other commemorative items will be available for purchase.
Just added! Join Delaware Ghost Hunters on October 30 and 31 for an extended, six-hour paranormal investigation featuring smaller group sizes. The cost per participant is $150.
Because these tours may be too intense for younger children, all participants must be 12 years of age or older. There will be no exceptions to the age limit. To reserve a spot, call 1-877-987-2757, or visit: www.destateparks.com.
