Milford man arrested on illegal fishing charges

MILFORD (March 29, 2011) – DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife Enforcement agents on March 26 arrested a Milford man on charges related to illegal fishing activities at Marshalls Pond in Milford.

Winsfred E. Johnson, age 33, of Milford, was arrested and charged with illegally fishing with a cast net near a spillway. He was fined and released.

Delaware code prohibits use of fishing nets within 300 feet of a spillway.

Citizens are encouraged to report fish and wildlife violations to the Delaware Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Section at 302-739-4580.
