Millsboro man charged in boating, fishing equipment thefts 

MILLSBORO (Aug. 30, 2012) – DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife Enforcement agents on Aug. 25 arrested a Millsboro man in connection with the theft of fishing and boating equipment that occurred earlier this month. Items ranging from electronics to fishing rods had been stolen from seven vessels at West Bay Park, a Millsboro community on Rehoboth Bay with a dock area for residents.

Ryan J. Gibbs, 21, was arrested and charged with four counts of felony theft (crimes committed against victims over age 62) and three counts of misdemeanor theft. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 3 in Georgetown, and released on $2,300 unsecured bond pending trial at a later date.
