Newark man nabbed for poaching wild turkey; fined $1,191
NEWARK (Nov. 18, 2015) – DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police cited a New Castle County man Sunday, Nov. 15 for hunting violations involving the wild turkey and the poaching of one of the birds near Newark.
Mark E. Nyce, 46, of Newark was charged with hunting without a license; hunting wild turkey without completing an approved course on turkey hunting; possession of an unlawfully-taken wild turkey, and unlawful method of take (pellet gun) for wild turkey. A harvested wild turkey was confiscated as evidence. Nyce was issued fines totaling $1,191, including court costs.
