Phillips Landing Boat Ramp in Sussex County
to partially close for repairs Aug. 10-11

DOVER (Aug. 6, 2015) –The double-lane boat ramp at Phillips Landing near Bethel will be closed from Monday, Aug. 10 through Tuesday, Aug. 11 to allow contractors to repair the concrete ramp, DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife announced today. The adjacent single-lane boat ramp and parking lot will remain open during the repairs. Access to the shoreline for fishing will be unaffected.

The project is expected to be complete, with full access restored, by Wednesday, Aug. 12, weather permitting.

Boaters who regularly use Phillips Landing may opt to use the Riverview Boat Ramp, located approximately 5 miles east in Laurel on Broad Creek or the Seaford Boat Ramp, located approximately 6 miles northeast in Seaford on the Nanticoke River.

For more information, please call the Fisheries Section at 302-739-9914.
