Port Penn Interpretive Center to host "Birds in Flight" program
DELAWARE CITY (Aug. 1, 2011) – The staff of the Port Penn Interpretive Center will host an exciting family program, "Birds in Flight," at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6. Children, adults and families can join a park naturalist for up close encounters with birds as they take flight. Participants will learn about conservation practices and how to make the earth a better home for the birds.
The program, presented in cooperation with Animal Behavior and Conservation Connections, a travelling free-flight bird program production company, uses live birds to strengthen the connection between people and wildlife conservation. The program is free of charge and suitable for all ages.
