Proposals Due Nov. 18 for Natural Resource Management Grants Available for Local Governments
County and municipal governments are encouraged to submit proposals by Nov. 18 for competitive grants to incorporate natural resources and coastal management into local planning and permitting activities. A total of $80,000 in grant funds are available to local jurisdictions for activities, such as coastal hazards and public access planning, that conserve, manage and promote habitat and natural resources in Delaware.
Grant recipients will be notified in December regarding their award. Grants are awarded by DNREC’s Delaware Coastal Programs with funding from the Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Details of the grant program, the full Request for Proposals, application criteria and forms are available on-line at: http://www.swc.dnrec.delaware.gov/coastal/Pages/CoastalProgramRFP.aspx
