Today’s Recycling Public Advisory Council cancelled by bad weather
DOVER (Jan. 26, 2011) – Today’s monthly meeting of the Recycling Public Advisory Council (RPAC) in Lewes has been cancelled because of inclement weather. No rescheduled date has yet been determined.
The Recycling Public Advisory Council was enacted into state law by Senate Bill 234 in May 2010 and charged with advising the Governor’s Office, the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, and the Delaware Solid Waste Authority on all aspects of recycling in Delaware. These include development of recycling grant criteria and selection of applications; methodology for measuring recycling rates; and possible outreach activities aimed at helping Delaware to achieve higher recycling rates.
