Recycling Public Advisory Council to meet Feb. 17 in Wilmington; Council seeks public comments on Governor’s statewide recycling plan
The Recycling Public Advisory Council will hold its regularly-scheduled public meeting from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17 at the Brandywine Hundred Library, 1300 Foulk Road, Wilmington.
The purpose of the meeting is to obtain public comments on the Governor’s recently announced recycling framework and get an update on DSWA’s statewide solid waste management plan.
The Recycling Public Advisory Council was re-established by Executive Order No. 90 in September 2006 and charged with advising the Governor’s Office, DNREC and the Delaware Solid Waste Authority on all aspects of recycling, including: the development of grant criteria and selection of applications; a methodology for measuring recycling rates; and possible outreach activities designed to achieve higher recycling rates.
