        Recycling Public Advisory Council to meet Jan. 13 in Dover

The Recycling Public Advisory Council will meet from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13 at the Delaware Public Archives Building, 121 Duke of York Street, Dover.

Topics on the agenda include:

• Public comments

• Approval of the Minutes from the Nov. 18 meeting

• Statewide Solid Waste Management Plan 

• Legislative updates

• Old/New business

• Additional public comments

• Scheduling of future meetings

The Recycling Public Advisory Council was re-established by Executive Order No. 90 in September 2006 and charged with advising the Governor’s Office, DNREC and the Delaware Solid Waste Authority on all aspects of recycling, including development of grant criteria and selection of applications; a methodology for measuring recycling rates; and possible outreach activities designed to achieve higher recycling rates.
