Regular open and closed schedule in effect for
DNREC’s
DART and Polly Drummond yard waste sites

DOVER (March 24, 2011) – A standard open and closed schedule for DNREC's DART and Polly Drummond yard waste demonstration sites in northern New Castle County recently implemented will continue indefinitely. Regular closures of the sites will continue to take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays to eliminate formerly as needed week-long closures for maintenance and grinding yard waste.

Regular open hours for residents to drop off their yard waste are Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The standard schedule was implemented to reduce non-residential use of the sites and improve maintenance. Commercial businesses, such as landscaping and lawn care companies, as well as municipalities, are not eligible to drop off materials at the DNREC yard waste demonstration sites.
