Seaford man charged with fishing violations 

SMYRNA (Feb. 23, 2011) – DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife Enforcement agents arrested a Seaford man February 18 for fishing violations in connection with an incident at Records Pond near Laurel.

Kenneth E. Hudson, age 32, of Seaford was arrested and charged with one count of illegal use of a fishing net within 100 yards of a spillway and one count of taking over the limit of panfish. Hudson also received a warning for not having a F.I.N. number prior to fishing. He was fined and released.

Delaware code prohibits use of fishing nets within 300 feet of a spillway.

Citizens are encouraged to report fish and wildlife violations to the Delaware Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Section at 302-739-4580.
