Some Slots Still Available for June 15 Adventure Race
DOVER (June 3, 2013) – The inaugural race in the 2013 Delaware State Parks Adventure Race Series, Clash with the Creek at Brandywine Creek State Park in Wilmington, has a few slots still available. The race is a team event featuring mountain biking, river canoeing and orienteering. The race begins at 9 a.m. on June 15, with a pre-race meeting at 8:30. Participants are encouraged to register quickly before spaces are filled.
The 2013 series includes four additional races: Baldcypress Challenge on July 13 at Trap Pond State Park, Kickin’ It at Killens on August 17at Killens Pond State Park, Bring it on at Bellevue on Sept. 7 at Bellevue State Park and Fish Hawk Challenge on Oct. 5 at Cape Henlopen State Park.
The races are designed for the everyday athlete and are either individual or team events. Certificates are awarded in multiple categories, and each participant will receive a commemorative race giveaway. The entry fee is $30 per participant, per race; $50 for two races; $70 for three races; $90 for four races and $110 per participant for the entire series. Fees are payable in advance. Payment may be made on the day of the race by cash or check only.
