Spring Fun at Cape Henlopen State Park
LEWES (March 21, 2013) – The staff at Cape Henlopen State Park invites the public to the Seaside Nature Center on Wednesday, March 27 and Thursday, March 28 to participate in fun springtime programs.
On Wednesday at 11 a.m., visitors will have the opportunity to explore the ins and outs of the mysterious squid during a hands-on program.
On Thursday, a springtime hike through the maritime forest leaves the nature center at 11 a.m. Hikers should wear comfortable shoes, dress for the weather and be prepared to look for signs of spring.
Both programs are suitable for adults and children five and older. The cost for each is $5 per person, and pre-registration is required.
At 2 p.m. each day, staff will present a feeding demonstration to show how and what the fish and other sea creatures that live in the nature center are fed. There is no charge for the feeding demonstration, and registration is not required.
Information and registration are available at 302-645-6852. A full list of programs at Cape Henlopen and the other Delaware State Parks can be found at destateparks.com. The Seaside Nature Center is open daily from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
