Three Selbyville men charged with criminal, hunting violations
SELBYVILLE (Oct. 28, 2011) – DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife Enforcement agents this week arrested three Selbyville men on charges related to an Oct. 22 hunting incident.
Franklin T. Brinker, age 22, was charged on Oct. 24 with five counts of possession of deadly weapon/ammunition by a person prohibited, three counts of failing to tag deer, one count of hunting waterfowl over bait, one count of hunting waterfowl without a federal waterfowl stamp, and one count of possession of unlawfully killed game. Brinker was taken into custody and arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 1 in Frankford and released on $27,000 unsecured bond pending a Nov. 3 preliminary hearing.
Shannyn M. Rohleder, age 58, was issued a summons on Oct. 22 to appear in the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas for arraignment on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, hunting waterfowl over bait, and hunting with a shotgun capable of holding more than three shells.
John Pomeroy, age 48, was cited on Oct. 22 for hunting with a shotgun capable of holding more than three shells, hunting over bait, failing to secure an H.I.P. number before hunting waterfowl and hunting waterfowl with lead shot.
The DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife’s Enforcement Section is charged with achieving public compliance through education and enforcement actions that help conserve Delaware’s fish and wildlife resources and ensure safe boating and public safety.
