Two men arrested for heroin possession near Wilmington State Parks
WILMINGTON (March 17, 2015) – Delaware State Parks Rangers arrested two men Monday and charged them with possession of a controlled substance and criminal trespassing after finding 146 bags of heroin inside their vehicle within Wilmington State Parks.
Colin M. Suber, 26, of Newark was charged with one count of possession of a Tier 2 controlled substance (heroin), along with one count of aggravating factor (possession of a controlled substance within 300 feet of a park), and one count of criminal trespassing. After processing and arraignment at Justice of the Peace Court 11, he was released on $20,100 unsecured bond. A second man, Daniel N. Gold, 25, of Glenn Head, N.Y., was charged with criminal trespassing and released with a criminal summons.
A Park Ranger from Wilmington State Parks investigating a suspicious person complaint Monday afternoon in the abandoned Bancroft Mill property adjacent to Wilmington State Parks led to the arrests. The ranger observed both men walking from the property into a State Park parking lot through a fence that had been cut. An investigation into their movement resulted in the discovery of heroin inside the vehicle they had driven into the park.
