Two Townsend men charged with trespassing, fishing without licenses

SMYRNA (Feb. 18, 2011) – DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife Enforcement agents on Feb. 17 arrested two Townsend men in an incident involving trespassing on posted state property.

Christopher R. Cahall and Greg A. Naylor, both 32 years old, were arrested and each charged with trespassing and fishing without licenses in a stormwater pond in Smyrna. Both were fined and released.

Delaware residents are encouraged to enjoy hunting and fishing on state wildlife refuges and other areas set up for these activities, rather than highway ponds or drainage areas.

Citizens are encouraged to report fish and wildlife violations to the Delaware Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Section at 302-739-4580.
