Volunteer with the DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife
Spring is here and the DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife has opportunities for you to spend some quality time outdoors while helping our wildlife areas. The Division’s Wildlife Section is looking for volunteers to assist with habitat restoration and on-site projects throughout the state. Projects vary and are available for both individuals and volunteer groups.
Volunteers may participate in activities such as planting, cleanup, building boardwalks and nest boxes, painting and more. Volunteer opportunities are available for the following categories:
- Trail maintenance
- Site restoration
- Wildlife nest box maintenance
- Facility maintenance
- Wildlife monitoring
- Construction projects
- Invasive plant removal
- Landscaping
