WebEx workshop set for Dec. 16 on financial assistance available through Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Funds
DOVER (December 2, 2013) – DNREC’s Financial Assistance Branch and the Department of Health and Social Services, Division of Public Health will host a WebEx workshop from 9 a.m. until noon, Monday, Dec. 16 on financial assistance programs available through Delaware’s Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Funds (CWSRF and DWSRF). Interested municipal government representatives, privately owned wastewater and drinking water utilities, consultant engineers, and other parties are encouraged to participate. Workshop participation is required by applicants and their consulting firms that apply for CWSRF and DWSRF assistance.

Workshop participants will learn about the following CWSRF and DWSRF program changes and infrastructure financing tools.
v Loan application process for wastewater and drinking water infrastructure project assistance
v Loan interest rates
v Land Conservation Loan Sponsorship Program
v Water Quality Improvement Loan Program
v Source water protection loans for drinking water supplies
v Wastewater and stormwater facilities matching grants
v Community Water Quality Improvement Grant
In addition, detailed information will be presented regarding: project eligibilities; how and when to submit projects for funding consideration; ranking criteria; construction requirements; and how to apply for Wastewater and Stormwater Matching Planning Grants. Participants will have opportunities to ask questions during the presentation.
Wastewater and Drinking Water Notices-of-Intent (NOI) will be solicited starting January 2, 2014 and due by January 31, 2014 to prepare FY 2014 CWSRF and DWSRF Project Priority Lists (PPLs). Projects must be listed on the CWSRF and DWSRF PPLs, respectively, to be considered for funding.
