Wetlands Scavenger Hunt at the Port Penn Interpretive Center

Children, adults and families can join a park naturalist on an exciting wetlands scavenger hunt at Port Penn Interpretive Center, a family fun program to be held on Saturday, July 17 at 2 p.m.  Visitors will search for furry and feathered creatures, fish, insects and much more along the marshland trail in Port Penn.

The program is free of charge and suitable for all ages; however, participants should be sure to dress for the weather and bring lots of insect repellant. 

The Port Penn Interpretive Center is located four miles south of Delaware City on Route 9. More information is available by calling the Fort Delaware State Park Office at 302- 834-7941, or visiting www.destateparks.com
