Youth Fishing Tournament to Be Held Aug. 16 at the Fishing Pier in Cape Henlopen State Park
LEWES, Del. – The Cape Henlopen Fishing Pier will be the site of a Youth Fishing Tournament hosted by A & R Bait and Tackle from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16. Registration begins at 7 a.m. Youth ages 5 to 17 are encouraged to compete. Anglers 16 and older must have a valid State of Delaware Fishing License.
Each contestant may use one rod with a limit of two hooks. Trophies will be awarded for first, second and third place finishers, as well as a trophy for the largest fish. There is no entry fee for the tournament, however, park entrance fees are in effect.
Cape Henlopen State Park, at 42 Cape Henlopen Drive in Lewes, is located one mile east of Lewes, 1/2 mile past the Cape May-Lewes Ferry Terminal.
