4th Annual Greene Turtle Diamondback Dash 5K Run and Walk
at Delaware Seashore

Saturday, May 19, 2012
Registration: 8 – 8:45 a.m.; Race Start: 9 a.m.
Each year, the Center for the Inland Bays, Delaware State Parks and volunteers partner to install a “safety net” of fencing to assist egg-laden terrapins attempting to cross Coastal Highway to nest in the dunes of Delaware Seashore State Park. Proceeds from this event help continue this important project! To register, or for more information, contact the Center for the Inland Bays at (302) 226-8105 or the Seashore Striders at (302) 644-8952, or visit www.active.com. Cost is $15 per person before May 19, $20 on race day.

Peace, Love & Horseshoe Crab Festival!

At the DuPont Nature Center
Saturday, May 19, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

This annual event brings together children, families, community members and nature center visitors in celebration of the Mispillion Harbor and it's importance as a habitat for horseshoe crabs and migratory shorebirds. Children may participate in environmental eco-stations, birders can view this migratory phenomenon from the deck, and visitors can check out the wildlife and displays in the nature center! There is food and fun to be had by all!
