Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know

The City of Wilmington Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) was appointed by the Delaware State Emergency Response Commission (SERC). The LEPC provides a forum for interaction and information sharing among businesses, government officials, emergency organizations, and the public.

These meetings are now listed on the State of Delaware Public Meeting Calendar. Once you access the Public Meeting Calendar, select the option for “List by Agency”, and select “State Emergency Response Commission” from the drop down list to see a listing of related meetings.

Interested citizens are encouraged to attend all meetings. Contact the City of Wilmington LEPC for meeting dates, times and location, or to receive minutes from a past meeting. Meeting minutes for the current calendar year can be obtained by clicking the date of interest above (when available).

EPCRA law requires that each LEPC prepare an emergency response plan for its district that includes information such as potential chemical hazards and procedures to be followed in the event of a chemical emergency. Contact the City of Wilmington LEPC to review it's emergency response plan.
