2012 Hazardous Chemical Inventory (Tier II) Reports due March 1, 2013
Facilities having hazardous chemicals or extremely hazardous substances on‑site above threshold quantities are required to submit Annual Hazardous Chemical Inventory reports (typically referred to as “Tier II” reports) by March 1 reflecting quantities on‑site during the previous calendar year. Tier II reports for calendar year 2012 are due by March 1,2013.
Information contained in Tier II reports is collected to support emergency personnel in planning for and responding to emergencies at or near your facility. Under State law, facilities submitting these reports may also be subject to an annual fee based upon the number and type of chemicals and mixtures reported. Fees must be submitted with the reports by March 1. The on-line reporting system, Tier II Manager™, is available again this year. The system is accessible through the Internet using typical Web browsers, and no special software is necessary. We strongly urge facilities to use the on-line reporting system.
