Calendar of Events at the Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve

April 

Paddle Adventure on the Blackbird (must be 14 or older to paddle)
Wed., April 23, 2014  9:30 - 11:30 a.m.

Take an adventure up Blackbird Creek to observe the various habitats and wildlife in and along the creek.  Wear comfortable clothing. Life jackets will be provided and are required to be worn. Canoeing experience is preferred but not required. The canoe trip will meet at the Blackbird Creek Reserve component at 801 Blackbird Landing Road in Townsend, Delaware. Space is limited. You must be at least 14 years of age to paddle.

Boat Trip on the St. Jones River (5 years old - adult)
Monday, April 28, 2014 10 - 11:30 a.m.

Get ready to board our 24 foot skiff boat as we take an expedition onto the River! This program will meet at Scotton Landing off of Barkers Landing Road in Dover, Delaware. These boating experiences are designed for ages 5-adult.  Life jackets will be provided and are required to be worn on the trip. Space is limited.

Thursday, May 15, 2014 10 a.m. - noon. 
Get ready to board our 24 foot skiff boat as we take an expedition onto the River! This program will meet at Scotton Landing off of Barkers Landing Road in Dover, Delaware. These boating experiences are designed for ages 5-adult. Life jackets will be provided and are required to be worn on the trip.  pace is limited.

Coastal Heritage Driving Tour – Explore Delaware City (16 years old - adult)
Thursday, May 29, 2014 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Join us as we discover the natural and historic resources of the Delaware Bay Communities.  Leave the driving to us as you board our touring van. We will make a stop for lunch along the way. The tour will meet at the St. Jones Reserve at 818 Kitts Hummock Road in Dover, Delaware. This program is designed for participants 16 years of age or older. Space is limited.
