Coastal Resiliency Action Plan Development
This project is designed to assist the community of Bowers Beach, Delaware in their efforts to protect the Town from the impacts of climate change and sea level rise. Currently the community experiences a number of coastal related problems including nuisance flooding of streets, episodic storm damage, coastal erosion, and other coastal hazard impacts.
Delaware Coastal Programs staff began working with the Town of Bowers Beach in March, 2009. Coastal Programs is working with the Mayor's Office, Town Planning Committee and concerned residents to identify the town’s vulnerabilities. Through a series of meetings and workshops, the issues identified will be given priorities and a strategy to address vulnerabilities and risks will be developed.
Documents associated with this process will be posted on this page as they become available.
