The division oversees the handling, transfer, storage, disposal, and management of solid waste and hazardous materials through regulations, monitoring, inspections, emergency response, and environmental regulation enforcement. The Division of Waste & Hazardous Substances is also responsible for managing above-ground and underground storage tank sites, boiler safety, and hazardous waste sites throughout Delaware.
