Delaware has adopted the 2012 IECC (with amendments) and ASHRAE 90.1-2010. These new codes were published on May 11, 2014, and following a six-month grace period, became fully effective on November 11, 2014. Per Delaware Code, the Division of Energy & Climate triennially reviews the State energy code for potential adoption of updates to the IECC and ASHRAE 90.1 Standard.
Enforcement and compliance with the energy code is determined at the local level, and varies depending on the county or locality.
Template option for required code certificate - The 2012 IECC requires that a permanent certificate be posted on or in the electric panel. This template can be used for Avery or Uline labels.
