Delaware Clean Transportation Incentive Program
The Clean Transportation Incentive Program was launched in July 2015 to encourage Delaware drivers and businesses to purchase and lease alternative fuel vehicles, including vehicles that run on propane, natural gas and electricity. Alternative fuel vehicles produce less or no tailpipe emissions, reducing both unhealthy pollution and the greenhouse gas emissions that drive climate change. For more information on alternative fuel vehicles, please visit the U.S. Department of Energy's Alternative Fuel Data Center.
For alternative fuel vehicles and electric vehicle charging stations purchased between July 15, 2015 and Oct., 2016 click here.
For alternative fuel vehicles and electric vehicle charging stations purchased between Nov. 1, 2016 and June 30, 2018, see below.
The Clean Transportation Incentive Program offers rebates for the purchase or lease of alternative fuel vehicles and the charging stations needed to support electric vehicles. The Clean Transportation Incentive Program has three components, as follow:
These three components provide incentives for Delawareans to purchase or lease new/retrofitted alternatively-fueled vehicles and electric vehicle charging equipment. Funding for the Clean Transportation Incentive Program comes from Delaware’s participation in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI).The rebate and grant programs are aligned with Delaware's commitment to innovation in the transportation sector, reducing greenhouse gases, and improving Delaware’s air quality.
The Clean Transportation Incentive Program is open to Delaware residents, businesses, governments, academic institutions, and non-profit organizations.
