ADVISORY: Effective Jan. 5, the City of Newark Green Energy Program has been placed on hold. Applications that have not received an approval from the City of Newark by this date have been placed on hold. New applications will not be accepted until the hold is lifted by the City of Newark.
ADVISORY: Effective immediately, the City of Dover and the City of Milford's PV (photovoltaic) grant programs have been suspended in order to consider revising the incentive. The city councils for both municipalities approved the measures on Nov. 25, 2013.
UPDATE: Due to limited funding municipal customers completing the Municipal Green Energy Program will be placed in queue for payment at the Delaware Municipal Electrical Corporation (DEMEC)*. Your grant will be paid by your municipality when funds are available.
Please inquire with DEMEC regarding grant payment timelines and program funding prior to requesting a grant. The funds used to pay Municipal Green Energy Program grants are collected monthly by each municipality. Customers are eligible for the Municipal Green Energy Program only if they receive an electric bill directly from their municipality.
* Contact Scott Lynch of DEMEC at (302) 653-2733 regarding grant payment timelines and program funding prior to installation.
