The DuPont Nature Center's Nature Cam provides an opportunity for visitors to the DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife facility to get up close and personal with the horseshoe crabs and shorebirds that frequent the Mispillion Harbor. This high-definition solar-powered wireless camera transmits video to a viewing station inside the center and can be remotely controlled by visitors to allow viewing up to 1/6th of a mile away.
Come visit DNREC's DuPont Nature Center and see the wildlife and ecosystems of the Mispillion Harbor in an altogether new light through the center's Nature Cam!
Streaming the Nature Cam Online
May through mid-June in 2016 the DuPont Nature Center was able to stream the nature cam online using grant funding from DuPont's Clear into the Future Program. During that time, the online nature cam was viewed 2,848 times! Because of the great success of this live streaming trial run, the DuPont Nature Center is looking into further grant funding for providing streaming of Nature Cam again in 2017. If you would like to donate to the Nature Cam live streaming fund please contact the DuPont Nature Center at 302-422-1329. We're looking forward to great viewing opportunities in 2017!
