DNC Mispillion Harbor Nature Cam
The DuPont Nature Center's Nature Cam provides an opportunity for visitors to the DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife facility to get up close and personal with the horseshoe crabs and shorebirds that frequent the Mispillion Harbor. This high-definition, solar-powered wireless camera transmits video to a viewing station inside the center and can be remotely controlled by visitors to allow viewing up to 1/6th of a mile away.
Come visit DNREC's DuPont Nature Center and experience the wildlife and ecosystems of the Mispillion Harbor through the center's Nature Cam!
Streaming the Nature Cam Online
The Nature Cam will be streamed online again in May 2019. Online viewing will be available during the months of May-June during the peak horseshoe crab spawning and shorebird migration. The camera can be viewed currently inside the nature center every day that the center is open.
DNC Osprey Cam
The DuPont Nature Center's Osprey Cam provides a close-up look at nesting ospreys in the Mispillion Harbor. Located behind the nature center, the osprey platform is equipped with a high definition camera and speakers. The camera can be viewed inside the nature center every day that the center is open.
July 16, 2018 Osprey Cam Update: Unfortunately the DNC's osprey chicks did not survive this summer. Cause of chick mortality has not been determined, but both parents on the nest are fine. Hopefully, this pair will return next year to nest on the DNC's platform again - please check back with the DNC's Osprey Cam in the spring to find out!
