Project: The Division of Fish & Wildlife is preparing for the waterfowl hunting season and is looking for assistance with grassing duck blinds. This activity involves traveling by boat to state-owned duck blinds. Volunteers and staff will work together to make any necessary repairs to the blinds and will attach new grass.
*NOTE: This event can accommodate up to 10 volunteers. Depending on the number of volunteers, there will be two work teams. One team of 5 will travel with a Fish & Wildlife biologist on a large boat, and the other team of 5 will travel with a second Fish & Wildlife biologist or follow behind in their own boat (2-3 people may be able to ride in the second Fish & Wildlife boat, but another boat may be required to allow other volunteers to participate).

Requirements: Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older, should be comfortable in a boat and must be able to swim

What to Bring: Chest waders or hip boots, long sleeves, work gloves, PFD (a PFD will be provided if you do not have one)

Contact: To volunteer, contact Lynne Pusey at or 302-735-3609
