Welcome to the Office of Community Services. Our office deals with constituency relations relating to environmental issues for the legislature and also is tasked with the legislative liaison duties relative to the development and modification of new and existing state laws. Our office has both Community and Small Business Ombudsmen to work with individuals and groups to address environment-related matters affecting day-to-day lives or businesses.
The Environmental Crimes Unit is also a component of this office and is made up of sworn law enforcement officers and carries out the duties of enforcing environmental laws and regulations throughout the state. This unit is certified in hazardous materials response and is part of the state emergency response team dealing with an array of activities from chemical spills to potential terrorist threats.
The Environmental Enforcement Coordinator is also housed in the Office of Community Services, and is responsible for coordinating, streamlining and ensuring consistent implementation of enforcement and compliance policies.
We take great pride in the programs we administer and we believe the design of this web site will make it much easier for you to access information about community services and to be better informed about what the office provides. If you have questions or require additional information please do not hesitate to contact our office at (302) 739-9959 or contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
