TrashStoppers: Caught!
The two men in the adjacent photo were caught in the act by TrashStoppers surveillance cameras as they illegally dumped bags of trash on North Hay Road near Wilmington. An eyewitness to the dumping incident also took down the vehicle's license plate number and telephoned DNREC's Environmental Crimes Unit, resulting in a guilty plea, a fine, and community service for the illegal trash dumpers. The toll-free number for reporting environmental complaints, including illegal dumping, is 1-800-662-8802.
