Master Plan Process Begins 2018
The Division of Parks and Recreation is beginning the process of creating a master plan for White Clay Creek State Park. The purpose of this master plan is to provide a vision and a framework for the stewardship and use of White Clay Creek State Park.
Public Involvement - Survey
Please take this survey to help us gain a broader public perspective on White Clay Creek State Park. Responses are strictly confidential and anonymous. This is an initial survey. We may conduct future surveys to address specific interests that may arise as the plan develops.Your responses will help in the planning process!
Public Involvement - Open Houses
A kickoff announcement about the launch of the Master Plan will be made May 21 at 7 p.m. at Deerfield (507 Thompson Station Road, Newark, DE 19711). The kickoff event, open to the public and expected to last about 30 minutes, will include details of the Master Plan process and questions will be taken from the audience.
We have four open houses tentatively scheduled to gather public interest and ideas before creating a draft of the Master Plan. Please consider attending one or all of these open houses:
Open House 1 - Natural Resources and Interpretation - June 25*
For input on topics such as habitat, farming, ponds/streams, historical and natural programming
Open House 2 - Buildings/Infrastructure - July 10*
For input on topics such as the Nature Center, Office, use of buildings, current/future concessionaires, Deerfield
Open House 3 - Roads and Trails - August 1*
For input on topics such as roads, trails, and connectivity
Open House 4 - Recreation - August 20*
For input on topics such as activities, golf course, visiting historic sites, events, fishing
All open houses are tentatively scheduled from 4 - 7 p.m. at Deerfield, 507 Thompson Station Road, Newark, DE 19711.

Draft documents for review will be posted to this webpage once developed. Please check back periodically. Announcements will be made on this webpage, by DNREC press release, signs in the park, and other means. If you want to submit general comments in the meantime, you can email or write to:
