Join us for NTD Projects at the Nanticoke Wildlife Area!

Event Description: Join in with thousands of volunteers across the country and celebrate our trails by participating in a National Trails Day project at the Nanticoke Wildlife Area! Initiated by the American Hiking Society, this national event is geared toward the maintenance and enjoyment of trails. The Nanticoke Wildlife Area will be leading NTD projects at Phillips Landing. Projects include trail clearing/cleaning, painting gates, and debris clean-up around Phillips Landing.
Age Requirement: This event is open to volunteers of all ages and is a great family activity! Youth under the age of 18 must provide a parental consent form. Youth under the age of 14 must also be accompanied by an adult.
What to Bring: Volunteers should wear close-toed shoes and long pants. Work gloves, hand tools (loppers, pruners, hand saws), painting materials, and water will be provided but volunteers are welcome to bring their own.

Event Description: Sponsored by the Aquatic Resources Education Center, this program will teach children fundamental fishing skills and conservation of aquatic ecosystems. For kids ages 6-15 and their parent/guardian. Volunteers are needed to help with fishing education stations and registration.
