Environmental Laboratory Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Who do I call to get my water tested?

Answer: You can purchase water test kits for a small fee from the Division of Public Health. Two test kits are available: one for bacteria and another for general chemicals (nitrates).

A report will be sent to you once the samples have been analyzed. For more information, contact the Division of Public Health office in the county where you live: New Castle County (302) 995-8650, Kent County (302) 739-5305, or Sussex County (302) 856-5496.
