Division staff support many worthwhile activities, including Public Outreach:
It is important to communicate why water resources are important and how the public can help the Division of Water protect these valuable resources. The division actively participates in statewide events that give the division the opportunity to meet many customers in an informal setting.
The division coordinates special outreach events, which are presented by the division technical staff on topics such as water conservation, hydrology, groundwater, surface water, and chemistry. The division considers these events an opportunity to reach tens of thousands of customers through one-on-one discussions, distribution of educational materials, and use of interactive displays.
