The Surface Water Discharges Section regulates point sources of pollution including municipal and industrial wastewater treatment systems and their construction, biosolids applications, and stormwater discharges associated with industrial activities. This section also provides support to the Board of Certification for Wastewater Operators. Technical assistance is provided directly to wastewater treatment facilities to assist with facility operations.
