Yard waste in Delaware

ADVISORY: DNREC's Polly Drummond Hill Road Yard Waste Demonstration Site is closed for the season as of Jan. 16, 2017. The site will reopen starting Saturday, April 1, and will be open Saturdays and Sundays ONLY, from 8 a.m. to sunset. A free alternative for Delaware residents bringing their own yard waste material is the Holland Mulch facility at 1034 S. Chapel Street, Newark, DE  19702 –  about five miles from the Polly Drummond Hill Road site. Please note that Holland Mulch has limited hours of operations during the week of March 27 due to grinding of existing materials onsite. Please call 302-765-3100 for more information.
