Horseshoe Crab Seasons, Harvest Limits to Be Considered at Nov. 3 Public HearingThe Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Fish and Wildlife, has changed the date of a regulatory hearing for consideration of Delaware horseshoe crab seasons and annual harvest limit from Thursday, Oct. 30 to Monday, Nov. 3. The hearing will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the DNREC auditorium, Richardson & Robbins Building, 89 Kings Highway, Dover. Natural Resource Management Grants Available for Local GovernmentsDOVER, Del. – DNREC’s Delaware Coastal Programs announced today that $80,000 in competitive grants are available to county and municipal governments to incorporate natural resources and coastal management (for example, coastal hazards and public access) into local planning and permitting activities. Brandywine Creek State Park Announces 17th Annual Haunted TrailWILMINGTON, Del. - Brandywine Creek State Park will be hosting the 17th Annual Haunted Trail on Friday, Oct. 17 and Saturday, Oct. 18, at the park from 7 until 10 p.m. both nights. The trail features creepy crawlers, ghoulish delights, blazing jack o’ lanterns, scary surprises and unbelievable mazes. The Haunted Trail is recommended for adults and children ages 12 and older. The cost is $10 per person. |
